Founded in 1954, Université de Sherbrooke (University of Sherbrooke) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Sherbrooke, Quebec.

 This institution also has a branch campus in Longueuil. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur, Québec (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Quebec), Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) is a very large coeducational Canadian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
