Study in Australia
Studying in Australia is an interesting and enjoyable place for international students. The country has a huge international presence and potential for students on all front lines, as do some of the world’s best universities call Australia home. If adventure travel is at the top of your list of main reasons for studying abroad, maybe nowhere in the world is more popular than Australia.
Australia is far and away Oceania’s largest population, with around 25 million inhabitants and a decent number of significant cities worth studying abroad. Sydney is one of the world’s top ten cities, while other destinations, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, may deliver similarly tempting studies in the Australian urban climate. Australian cities are also considered some of the world’s liveliest, but students in Australia would certainly be inspired to study abroad.
Studying in Australia
In Australia, there are several different fields of research and styles of study abroad. Many programmes, which typically provide students with access to full-scale catalogs and a wide variety of subject areas, are designed to encourage students to attend a nearby university in an overseas spring or fall. International business, history, Australian studies and political sciences are the primary areas of research.
The transition to the course work in local schools for English speakers was usually the language of education in the country. Please notice that the semester structure is somewhat out of step with the majority of northern hemisphere preparation programs due to flipped seasons; the academic year will normally extend from March to November meaning that students will have to prepare accordingly.
Another alternative is to pursue an academic study program primarily meant for international students in Australia. Such organisations will have full-semester or year-long satellite programmes, while others will provide shorter summer research programs in overseas, which will fly to different areas in the country. These last three weeks to three months are usually lead by a professor and can give you at least a couple of courses of academic credit.

Costs of studying in Australia
The costs of studying abroad in Australia are substantially different. As regards tuition and on-the-ground prices, Australia is one of the world’s most expensive countries. New Zealand is much less costly and, as a result, the smaller island nations around both are considerably cheaper. Wherever you study abroad, all the possibilities for traveling abroad in Australia do not hurt to see.
Student accommodation and visas to Australia
Students in Australia typically stay in homestays, college sleeping accommodations or apartments during their tenure, but the length and form of program differ. As the economic trends in the area are greatly fluctuating, the accommodation available would vary considerably from country to country. Students should speak about current housing options before leaving with their program provider and study what seems best to suit them!
Visa requirements are also different across the region; however, in Australia generally students will be allowed to apply for long-term study visa for international programs.
In order to study overseas in Canada, the equivalent to a foreign student visa, you will have to apply normally for a study permit. In the meantime, you can check out our Embassy Directory for more detailed information about visas, normally via your host university or international study program in Canada.

What are the requirements to study in Australia?
Qualifications
Generally, you will need to have completed secondary school education in your home country to a high standard. Some universities may offer you the option of a Technical and Further Education (TAFE) university pathway course; this provides you with an Australian high school qualification. You can then be enrolled at your chosen university.
English language tests
Australian institutions may prefer IELTS or TOEFL for an English language requirement, or may accept both. Always check which one you need with the institution you’re applying to.
