Lakehead University

Lakehead University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the small city of Thunder Bay (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ontario.

Officially recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities of Ontario, Lakehead University (LU) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 8,000-8,999 students) coeducational Canadian higher education institution.

Lakehead University (LU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. LU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.

The university offers 57 undergraduate and 30 graduate and doctoral programs through nine faculties that include Education, Business Administration, Engineering, Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences, Medicine and Graduate Studies, Science and Environmental Studies, Natural Resources Management and Science and Humanities.
